In a remarkable demonstration of dedication to education and community development, Councilor Emeka Silas Okudo, representing Alor Ward 1 at the Congress of Councilors in Idemili South Local Government Area, has made a significant impact in his constituency. To commemorate Children’s Day celebrations, Hon. Okudo visited three public schools in Alor Ward 1 on Wednesday, May 28, 2024, namely Uruezeani Primary School Alor, Eke-Umuokwu Nursery and Primary School Alor, and Okwu-Memorial Nursery and Primary School Alor, where he distributed writing materials to pupils.
During his visits, Hon. Okudo emphasized the importance of education, urging pupils to take their studies seriously and pay attention to their teachers. He encouraged them to set ambitious goals, highlighting the potential for future careers in medicine, law, engineering, and nursing. The pupils enthusiastically responded to his inquiry about their career aspirations, with all hands raised in excitement.
At Okwu-Memorial Nursery and Primary School, Hon. Okudo shared fond memories of his own primary school days, expressing gratitude for the improved learning environment and facilities available to the pupils today. He advised them to maintain good conduct and make their parents and community proud.
The headmistresses of the schools expressed their gratitude to Hon. Okudo for his generosity and commitment to his constituency. They praised his representation, describing it as purposeful and of high quality, and wished him continued success in his future endeavors.
Hon. Okudo was accompanied on his visit by Mr. Kenechukwu Lawrence (Aziafughinanya K. C. MAKAA), APGA Ward Chairman, and members of Honourable Emeka Silas Okudo Foundation. The people of Alor Ward I were visibly delighted by the gesture, praising Hon. Okudo’s dedication to their community.
