A member of the Precious Blood Apostolate, Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Mr. Chris Kpega has implored members of the apostolate to carry their crosses to the very end. The devotee who spoke on ‘There is no other way than the Royal Road of the Cross’, at the Gethsemane Hour of Thursday, April 3, 2025, noted that some people do not carry their crosses to the end because of the difficulties they encounter on the way.
He acknowledged the challenges attached to carrying, intimated the presence of the grace God on the journey, and assured that those who strive to the end will enjoy happiness and joy
He said, “The way of the Cross is so rough that many people do not want to follow it. If you follow the way of the Cross, you will not grease people’s palm; you will not follow short cut; you will prefer to wait for God’s time – you will not follow the way of the world. It is not everyone who follow this way who will persevere to the end. Those who persevere to the end will find life. The end of the Cross is full of happiness and joy. But is not easy to get to the end. The Lord will give you the grace if you are willing to follow. So, you must continuously love the Cross. Carry your Cross even if you are serving God. Success will come.”
Mr. Kpega told them that Christ followed the way of the Cross to bring them salvation, and that they need to play their roles in reciprocating the prize that He paid for their redemption. He summed that there is no other way to heaven but the Way of the Cross.
