The members of Catholic charismatic renewal of Nigeria SS John and Paul Iba Pope Awada Onitsha, has ended their ten day’s annual revival crusade with a call on Nigerians especially Christians to shun idolatrous practices and embrace Jesus Christ and his Church which is the ultimate for man.The parish chairman of the Catholic charismatic renewal of Nigeria S.S John and Paul Iba Pope Awada Bro. Emenike Ndubisi who made the call while speaking to newsmen at the end of their evangelical crusade affirmed that Christ remains the only hope of man for salvation.
Bro. Emenike who lamented the drifting of some Nigerian youths into traditional religion noted that the act of the current practice of some people towards reacting the idolatrous altar of their forefathers are evil pointing out that the coming of the missionaries and the consequent advent of Christianity has long nullified the devilish practices, describing the evil practice as a scam. He further noted that the coming of Christianity brought an end to those evil beliefs such as the killing of twins and other fetish practices.
Bro. Emenike however advised Christians to absolutely rely on God in this critical period of the country socio economic and political quagmire, believing that he is the author and finisher of our faith. “No wonder the theme of this years Evangelical revival which reads, Jesus our supreme master was apt for the ever. He advised all and sundry to completely depend on Jesus Christ who will definitely come to our rescue Tens of hundreds of thousands of the members of the Catholic charismatic renewal of Nigeria attended the august revival crusade which featured prayers and Bible reading.
The CCRN shepherd, lba Pope parish Awada expressed appreciation for the support the parish Priest of the church, very Rev. Fr. Victor Mbanisi has been giving them each time he was approached for a religious event at the Parish. He also acknowledged the good works he was doing in the parish, just as he commended the efforts and understanding of Rev.Fr. George Adimike towards them.
