The Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN), on behalf of the Bishops of Nigeria and the Bishop Chairman of Communications, has officially released materials for the 2025 edition of the annual Communications Week (ComWEEK) celebration, scheduled to hold from May 25 to June 1, 2025.
In a circular signed by Rev. Fr. Michael Nsikak Umoh, the National Director of Social Communications at the CSN, all clergy, religious, and lay faithful have been urged to ensure full implementation of the program in their respective parishes, communities, and institutions.
“This year’s materials are now available and we humbly appeal for your collaboration in executing the program across all areas under your care,” the statement read.
The program is expected to be observed not only in parishes, but also in seminaries, convents, schools, and all Church-run institutions across the country. The CSN has encouraged wide dissemination of the materials through digital platforms, personal contacts, and community groups, urging all recipients to promote the week-long celebration actively.
Participants are also invited to share photos and updates from their local ComWEEK activities. Submissions, which must not exceed 100MB in size, can be sent via email to csnmedia@csn.ng or through WhatsApp at 09017750526.
The CSN expressed gratitude for the continued cooperation of the faithful and emphasized the importance of this annual celebration in deepening awareness of the Church’s communication mission.
Communications Week is a nationwide initiative of the Catholic Church in Nigeria, aimed at fostering reflection and engagement on media and communication within the faith community, in alignment with the Church’s global mission.
