A knight of the Catholic Church and President of Catholic Lawyers Association, Archdiocese of Onitsha,Barr Azubike Anazor,has commissioned a set of housing project to provide affordable housing to citizens of Anambra State.
The houses comprise of 12 block of flats with all necessary amenities for comfort of the residents.
The official opening and blessing of the estate was done at the Azubike Anazor Avenue, God is Great Estate,Nkwelle Ezunaka on Sunday,February 4,2024 by Rev Fr Donald Uzor in presence of Barr Anazor,family members,friends,well wishers and representatives of the landlords association of the area.
In a brief remark,Rev Fr Uzor commended Barr Anazor for his initiative in erecting the buildings which according to him will ease the burden of lack of housing besetting the state and also help citizens who are desperately in need of shelter.
He called on all meaningful and patriotic citizens of the state to emulate Barr Anazor in providing such facility to ease the burden of accommodation faced by the citizens.
In his remarks,Barr Anazor said he was passionate about providing such facility as it was part of his effort to help humanity.
Anazor said he was giving thanks to God for giving him the capacity to provide for the welfare of the people,pointing out that shelter was a very important aspect of livelihood.
Barr Anazor emphasised that decent housing was essential for economic development of the nation and as such, was doing his best to identify with the housing programme of the state and federal government.
The project he said,was not the first in his agenda.
