Archbishop Valerian Okeke spoke on the significance of the Eucharistic life as a journey of love and thanksgiving during his pastoral visit to the Holy Family Military Catholic Chaplaincy at the Military Cantonment in Onitsha last Sunday.
In a profound reflection shared on his social media page, Archbishop Valerian Okeke emphasized the importance of continually giving thanks to God for the sacrifices made by Christ. He reflected on the promise of Christ to remain with believers until the end of time and the gift of the Holy Eucharist, through which faithful followers are spiritually transformed.
“The Eucharistic life is the life of love and thanksgiving,” the Archbishop stated. “To give thanks to God perpetually, for all Christ has done for us. He promised to be with us till the end of life and He gave us the Holy Eucharist, his body and his blood, that when we eat his body with devotion and faith, we will be transformed.”
Expressing his gratitude towards the congregation, Archbishop Valerian Okeke thanked the members of the Holy Family Military Catholic Chaplaincy for their warm reception and robust demonstration of faith. He extended his prayers and best wishes to the community, urging them to embody the principles of the Eucharistic life.
“I thank the family of God, of Holy Family Military Catholic Chaplaincy, Military Cantonment Onitsha for their outpouring of faith in welcoming us on my pastoral visit today. I pray for all of us, that we may live the Eucharistic life, for Christ has done everything for us.”
