Two deceased Onitsha Archdiocesan priests for burial shortly

Two Onitsha Archdiocesan priests,Msgr. Basil Onwuasomba (87) and Rev Fr Joseph Ajakor (88)who died recently are set to begin their last earthly journey as their burial dates have been fixed by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha,Most Rev Valerian Okeke.Since their death,the Archdiocese of Onitsha was thrown into mourning.
In an announcement released by the Onitsha Archdiocesan Chancellor Rev Fr Prudentius Aroh,the remains of late Rev Fr Joseph Ajakor would be buried on Thursday,30th July,2026 after burial Mass at the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity,Onitsha.
The burial of late Msgr.Basil Onwuasomba will come up on Wednesday,5th August,2026 after a burial Mass at the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity.
The burial Masses would be presided over by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha,Most Rev Valerian Okeke.
May their souls rest in peace.
