“Today marks exactly 15 years since our Lord called to glory our beloved Archbishop and the 4th Archbishop of Onitsha, Most Rev. Albert Kanene Obiefuna. As we remember my venerable predecessor, we are urged by Scripture to “Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith” (Hebrews 13:7). We thank God for the gift of this great pastor and the glorious heritage of faith he sacrificed to bequeath to us. We pray that the strong baton of faith he handed over to us continues to flourish in our hands. May our Merciful Saviour reward him for his beautiful works and grant him eternal rest among the Saints. “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord… they will rest from their labour, for their deeds will follow them.” (Rev 14:13)
