Archbishop Valerian Okeke has charged Christians to shine the light of Christ in a world beset by darkness, urging them to be beacons of hope and love.
Speaking during a recent Mass, Archbishop Okeke reflected on Jesus’ call to be the light of the world, emphasizing the importance of living out one’s faith.
“We are called to be the light of Christ, illuminating the darkness and guiding others to the path of salvation,” Archbishop Okeke said.
The Archbishop encouraged Christians to cultivate virtues like kindness, compassion, and forgiveness, allowing Christ’s light to shine through them.
“Let us strive to be the light of Christ, bringing hope and joy to a world in need,” Archbishop Okeke urged.
The prelate further reminded Christians that Lenten period is a season of prayer,abstinence and a period of God’s grace,and the time the faithful,show in their lives,the grace of God,and ask for forgiveness for the things they did not do right.
“It is a time of repentance and a time of prayer in a special way.We pray God to be with us this season,that His grace may abound in us”,the Archbishop prayed.
