Dr. Nelson Omenugha, the Special Adviser to Anambra State Governor Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo on Youth Development, has been honored with a merit award by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra Chapter, for his outstanding efforts in developing Anambra youth.
The award presentation ceremony took place on Thursday, August 28, 2025, and was part of the activities marking the 2025 Anambra NUJ week.
Speaking during the award presentation, the State Chairman of Anambra NUJ, Dr. Emeka Odogwu, congratulated Dr. Omenugha on the well-deserved recognition.
Dr. Odogwu described Dr. Omenugha as a fearless journalist who has made commendable impact in society, and urged him to continue his efforts in assisting the governor in transforming the Anambra youth.
In his acceptance speech, Dr. Omenugha expressed gratitude to Anambra NUJ for recognizing hard work and selfless sacrifices.
He extolled Governor Soludo for giving him the opportunity to assist in transforming the youth, which is one of the governor’s priorities.
Dr. Omenugha dedicated the award to the hardworking people in Nigerian society and pledged to continue assisting in youth transformation in the state.
