All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Engr. JohnBosco Onunkwo, has described the APC governorship candidate for Anambra 2025, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, and his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, a perfect match for the election.
The APC chieftain, a former gubernatorial aspirant and current state chairman of the APC Peace and Reconciliation Committee, made this assessment while fielding questions from the press shortly after a thanksgiving Mass attended by Prince Ukachukwu, Senator Ekwunife, and other APC members.
The Mass was held at the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity, Onitsha, last Sunday, to celebrate their victory at the primary election and the receipt of the party flag from President Bola Tinubu.
Onunkwo described the combination of Ukachukwu and Ekwunife as a cohesive bond that will pave the way for victory at the polls. He praised Ukachukwu as a man of proven integrity with the capacity to deliver and bring the change Anambrians are yearning for.
He also expressed satisfaction over the choice of Senator Ekwunife as running mate to Prince Ukachukwu, describing her as an enigma who possesses a wealth of experience for the deputy governorship position. Onunkwo noted that Senator Ekwunife had represented Anambra Central excellently during her days in the Red Chamber.
The APC chieftain further highlighted that there is now unity in the state party, thanks to the efforts of the Peace and Reconciliation Committee, which has achieved about 95% peace. He disclosed that some former contestants who ran against Ukachukwu are now backing his candidature.
