On Monday, 25th September, 2023, the Parish Priest of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Fegge Onitsha, Rev Fr Michael Okagbue summed the Four Mondays of Special Opportunities: Redeeming the Time in the parish when he tasked participants to put their faith to good work so that God may do the undoable for them.
The priest who asserted that God grants the prayers of those who pray according to His will also taught that fervent prayers are required for the manifestation of their answers as was the case of Daniel whose hanging answers were released twenty one days after he remained in prayer thereby alerting Archangel Michael to confront the obstacle, the Prince of Persia.
“Faith is sharing responsibility with God in the light of His Word.” He catechized. “Nothing can defeat faith but God wants to see your faith in action. If there is nothing you can do, there is nothing God can do. God did His own when the disciples filled the jars with water. All the weapons of warfare cannot work until faith is at work. So, you must do something to commit God to do what you cannot do for yourself. Take faith when you are weak. It makes the unable and disabled to stand strong. When faith comes in, every class of demon bows out. Your tears can attract God’s attention but your faith moves Him. So, cry with faith. Faith failure is fatal and destiny failure. There is nothing more a Christian can do without faith.”
Fr Okagbue prayed for the grace to live out their faith and that good things that will come their way will surpass their expectations.
