The Knights and Ladies of St Mulumba Onitsha Subordinate Council on Saturday December 2nd,attended an end of year thanksgiving mass at the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity Onitsha.
Top ranking knights and ladies of the Subcouncil attended the mass.
It was also an opportunity for the knights and ladies to reach out to the less privileged and gave out cash gifts, food, drinks and other materials to them.
The chaplain of the Subcouncil Rev Fr Emmanuel Nwabufo while delivering his homily, commended the knights and ladies for their initiative and thoughtfulness and called on other privileged people and organisations to emulate them.
Fr Nwabufo said there were many reasons to give thanks to God because many people were unfortunate to find themselves in hospitals and were placed in several life saving conditions.
According to him,it was a time to reflect and thank God and remember God’s injunction where he told believers not to allow themselves to be drowned with the worries of this life but rather trust in God.
In a remark, the Grand Knight of Onitsha Subcouncil,Sir Moris Efobi, expressed gratitude to God and all members who contributed towards the success of the event.
Also in his remark, the chairman of the thanksgiving organising Committee,Sir Vitalis Ewelike expressed gratitude to the entire members for attending and making the event successful.
There was plenty to eat and drink and everyone smiled home.
