The Vicar of St Patrick Catholic Church Okpoko, Archdiocese of Onitsha, Rev Fr Francis Okeke has called on parishioners of Immaculate Heart Parish Fegge Onitsha, has called to love others for the sake of the love of God.
Leaning on the readings of Sunday, 5th May 2024, on love, he told participants that God called them out of His love for them so that they may extend that same love to others.
The celebrant told them to obey God’s commandment on love with boldness, assuring them that the God who called and sent them will never abandon them.He said, “God loves you. Since God called you, no one can defeat you because they did not call you.
They did not call you, so they cannot recall you. Since God called you, He will fortify you. Irrespective of incompetence He selected you. Your life is evidence of God’s love. God has called you to a life. He called you for the sake of love. Love others for the sake of love.”
