On Thursday, 30th November, 2023, end of the 14 days crusade organized by Will of God Community, Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Fegge Onitsha, tagged God of Zero Hour Prayer Project and themed, Still the God of Impossibilities, Rev Fr Ejike Nwankwo disclosed that many things that are blamed on witchcraft are actually failures on the part of people to set their priorities right and to take the right decisions in life and family.
The priest revealed that getting married without adequate preparations; stopping one’s wife from work; succumbing to unhealthy family pressures are some of the factors that are mistaken for witchcraft.“Many of us do not make it in business because of pressures.”
The priest pin pointed. “Some people get married shortly after their settlement, when they are yet to build their business. After making this mistake, you blame the witches. Marriage is a great responsibility – you will spend on the woman, in laws and children.
When the children come, you will spend above your budget because they will get sick, go to school and with the kind of schools we have these days, you have no choice than to spend. Therefore, this is the witchcraft because you were not balanced before going into marriage. This is why it is not easy for you to do well in business. So, I am saying this because so many things we claim to be spiritual are not.
They are not witchcraft. It is simply that your business can no longer shoulder the expenses. This is the problem. Some of men think that their wives cannot assist others because of marriage. So, because of marriage, she has become useless to her parents and family who may have sent her to the university? Her family may hate because she got married and forgot them without knowing that she is going through hell in your hands.
You met her at certain age, how about the remaining years of her life? Was she made for you alone? Was she not born and trained before you came to marry her? Do you think she was born just for you?”Fr Nwankwo who observed that so many of such women are graduates asked guilty husbands how much they can give a woman to take care of their needs.
His words, “If you think you are so rich, are you richer than Dangote? Yet his wife has many companies? Are you richer than Peter Obi? Are you richer than Soludo? So, do not cage your wife because of your wealth. These are the things we are praying for, that Jesus liberates women who are trapped in this way.”
