The Prefect Emeritus,Sacred Congregation for Divine Worship and Discipline of the Sacraments,Vatican City,Francis Cardinal Arinze,has clocked 58 years as a Bishop.
He was consecrated Bishop on August 29,1965.
He became the Archbishop and Metropolitan of Onitsha on June 26 1967.
He was created a Cardinal on May 25 1985.
Recall the Cardinal was ordained priest on November 23,1958.
He was born in Eziowelle on November 01,1932.
Meanwhile,the Onitsha Archdiocesan Presbyterium led by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha,most Rev Valerian Okeke as well as Religious men and women and Christ’s faithful are sending their warmest felicitations to the revered Cardinal.
Cardinal Arinze is one of the most influential clerics across the world.He has travelled far and wide and written many books both in the Catholic faith and inter- religious beliefs and dialogue.
