Mr. Valentine C. Ozigbo, Gubernatorial Candidate in the last governorship election in Anambra State, and a business mogul, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly ordained priests of the Catholic Diocese of Awka.
The ordination ceremony, held at St. Patrick’s Catholic in Awka, last weekend, saw the consecration of Rev. Paul Akabogu; Rev. Elias Obikwelu; Rev. Ejie Victor; Rev. Chibueze Damian; Rev. Anthony Okoyeatu; Rev. Paschal Omaga; Rev. Lawrence Akwuba; and Rev. Kingsley Igboanugo; by Most Reverend Dr. Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor, the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese.
Mr. Ozigbo praised the ordinands for their unwavering commitment to their faith and community, noting that he had always held in high regard the selflessness and devotion of those who chose the path of spiritual service.
‘These new priests have demonstrated exemplary dedication and are a true blessing to our diocese,’ Ozigbo stated.
He also noted that the ceremony, filled with joy and reverence, was a testament to the enduring strength of faith within the community.
Mr. Ozigbo expressed his admiration for the newly ordained priests, acknowledging the sacrifices they had made in their journey toward priesthood. He emphasized their critical role in guiding and uplifting the faithful, reinforcing the values of love, compassion and service.
Mr. Ozigbo offered a heartfelt prayer for the newly ordained priests, requesting that God continued to guide their steps and steel their resolve and faith to serve.
