Evang Christopher David of the Catholic Diocese of Zaria anchored the Word Session in St Mary’s Catholic Church Samaru Zaria on Friday, 7th March 2024 where he told participants of the ongoing Lenten Programme that painful experiences are an integral part of every success story.
The minster who spoke on the topic ‘Press on in the place of prayer’ charged them to persevere till the end so that they may actualize their goals in life.“You must learn how to become tough as life is becoming tough.” He tasked them.
“There are painful aspects of the journey to where God is taking you but you will smile when the labour is over. No matter what is happening, God is saying, ‘
Do not give up!’ If you refuse to give up, the situation will give up for you to be on top. A lot of people do not get what they want in life because they respond to distractions.
As you press on, distractions are bound to appear to make sure you do not get the prize. If you look back you will miss the prize. You must press on to carve a niche. Continue to push like a woman in labour. The prize could be anything you that you are expecting.
Pressing on is secret of getting the prize that God kept for you.”Evang David observed that many Nigerians are giving up because of the situation in the country. He told participants to remain resolute and press on in the place of prayer for Nigeria and her citizens.
