The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has affirmed Barrister Julius Abure as the authentic Chairman of the Labour Party of Nigeria.
Also, the appellate court in a judgement set aside the verdict of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory which barred Abure and two others from parading themselves as national officers of the opposition party.
In the ruling on Wednesday, Justice Hamman Barka held that the high court was wrong to have assumed jurisdiction on the matter.
It also awarded a cost of one million Naira in favour of Abure and against the respondent, Lamidi Apapa.
