The President General of Adazi-Enu Town Union in Anaocha Local Government Area, Anambra State, Chief Sir Emmanuel Chigozie Ejidike, has advised youths in the area to return to God for them to have an abundantly blessed life.
The President General, who gave the advice while speaking with newsmen at Adazi-Enu recently, reminded Adazi-Enu youths that their forefathers practiced paganism, found out that it was not the way to go and abandoned it.
‘Now, why should they go back to it? I advise them to come back to God; He is the ultimate.
‘An idol is a man’s craft; there is no value in worshipping it. Our forefathers worshipped it, found out that it was not the way to go and abandoned it.
‘It is paramount that our youths understand that it is only God that can salvage mankind, not idols.
‘Therefore they should only go to God, asking Him for help and blessings so that it shall be well with them and the entire society,’ Chief Sir Ejidike urged.
He thanked the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev Dr Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor, for coming to St Dominic’s Church, Adazi-Enu, for a pastoral visit.
The Adazi-Enu President General expressed optimism that the pastoral visit had brought blessings of God upon his domain.
He appealed to Bishop Ezeokafor to lift the Adazi-Enu Catholic community to a higher Christian religious district, preferably diocese.
The President General also appreciated the Priest in charge of St Dominic’s Church, Rev Fr Evaristus Ezekwonna, expressing satisfaction with the Priest’s service in the Church.
