The Archbishop of Onitsha His Grace, Most Rev. Valerian Okeke last Sunday, October 13th called on Christians to make right choices in their daily lives, emphasizing the importance of living according to God’s will.
In his homily during his pastoral visit to Holy Spirit parish, Oduke Obosi, Archbishop Okeke stressed that the decisions we make have a profound impact on our lives and the world around us. He encouraged Christians to choose faith over fear by trusting in God’s providence and guidance, even in uncertain times.
The prelate highlighted the benefits of making right choices, including deepening one’s relationship with God and becoming more Christ-like, experiencing inner peace and joy, regardless of external circumstances, receiving God’s blessings and rewards in this life and the next.
He acknowledged the obstacles that can hinder right decision-making, such as:
love for worldly pleasures and wealth and called on christians to prayerfully seek God’s will in all decisions and be self contented in whatever thing we have. ” Let us use the word of God and wisdom in taking our decision. When you make the right decision and choice, every other thing will be added on to you like King Solomon who asked only for wisdom and God blessed him with it and other good things he never asked for. If you live a life of wisdom and contentment, you will never go sad and you will never do evil because God’s blessings, favours, mercy, compassion, protection will be sufficient in your life.
By making right choices, Christians can live a life that honour God, benefits others, and brings joy and fulfillments,” he stressed.
