Officials have informed SCORENigeria that a proposal is on the table of the NFF for the Super Eagles to set up a training base in Morocco ahead of the 2025 AFCON, which kicks off in December.
Europe-based call-ups for the AFCON will therefore fly directly to this Moroccan training base.
SCORENigeria has already reported that the Super Eagles will open training camp for the AFCON on December 10.
Multiple reports further suggested that the Super Eagles will tackle record AFCON champions Egypt in Cairo in a warm-up tie on December 14.
Nigeria are drawn against Tanzania, Tunisia and Uganda in a first-round group of the forthcoming AFCON to be hosted by Morocco.
For last year’s delayed 2023 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire, the Super Eagles set up training camp in Abu Dhabi, where they played against Guinea in a warm-up game before they headed out to the competition.
