The Chief Shepherd of Onitsha Archdiocese, His Grace Most Rev Valerian Okeke last Sunday enjoined Christians to stop enriching false prophets in a bid to obtain God’s miracles.
According to him as Christians our lives are miracles, explaining that those who run around in search for miracles are ignorant of the fact that miracles occur in the life of Christians every now.
His words: “waking up every morning is first miracle in our day; you didn’t go to hospital in one year except visiting the sick is great a miracle; having children is a miracle, going out and returning home safely is a miracle etc”.
The prelate advised Christians to be the fertile land where word of God can dwell and yield great harvest, adding that when you become a fertile land by abstaining from sin, miracles will begin to follow you and not you searching for miracles. “When you begin to destroy the fertile land you are by committing sins, God’ favour, miracles and blessings may elude you and when that happens, you may be tempted to resort to false prophets who will syphon you of your resources without making your condition better.
Always be ready to receive the word of God and practice it. Then your are becoming a fertile land that is cable of bearing fruit in abundance. At this point, miracles will begin to follow you” he explained.
