St. Augustine Parish 3-3 Omeife Nkwelle-Ezunaka Oyi LGA is set to stage a colourful birthday celebration for our Holy Mother Mary.
The chairman of the organizing committee for the event Evang. Vincent Ezekwueme who disclosed this to the press stated that the occasion will witness the celebration of the St Augustine feast, the patron of Parish, adding that two former priests Rev Fr John Paul Obigwe and Rev Fr Elochukwu Muokwe who rendered selfless humanitarian services to the parish during their two years stay will be appreciated same day with a sentforth party.
He revealed that the former priests really transformed the Parish to the best of their abilities spiritually, infrastructurally and fraternally.
Comrade Ezekwueme and his co committee members including the Vice Chairman Parish Council, Mr. Edwin Mboyi, Committee Secretary Mr. Chibuike Okeke, Dr. Nwanneka Tony-Chinedu, Lolo Ngozi Okafor, Sir Ebuka Chukwudolue and others further stated that the event will be very memorable and eventful as it will feature cutting of birthday cake of our Blessed Mother of Christ Virgin Mary and public Lecture on “life and times of St.Augustine.
Trinitas learnt that the event slated for Sunday 8th September 2024 will be under the distinguished chairmanship of High Chief Sir Tony Chinedu Board Member Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission. Senator Dr.Tony Nwoye representing Anambra North will be the Chief Guest of Honour while Hon.Innocent Ojike(Ojicam) will be the Special Guest of Honour.
Speaking, Sir Ebuka Chukwudoluo stated that the climax of the event will be cutting of birthday cake of Blessed Virgin Mary, Presentation of gifts, unveiling of Flexi of who is who in the Parish.
Lady Dr. Nwanneka Tony-Chinedu asserted that necessary arrangements have been made to ensure hitch free and memorable event.
“In a very special way, we commends the Chief Host our Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Fidelis Chiefe and the Vicar Rev. Fr. Christopher Onwurah for their prayers, supports and advice”, he added.
