Sir Pius Ufudo Foundation has completed its 3rd Annual Free Tech Bootcamp for students in Nnobi, held at the Sir Pius Ufudo Complex, located within St. Theresa Catholic Church, Ifite Nnobi. The two-week intensive training program, which ran from August 27th to September 7th, 2024, was designed to equip young minds with crucial technology skills that are increasingly essential in today’s digital world.
A total of 262 students participated in the bootcamp, comprising primary and secondary school students, as well as undergraduates. The initiative aimed at bridging the digital divide, offering tailored training sessions to introduce the students to essential tech skills.
The bootcamp was structured to provide primary school students with foundational computer knowledge, particularly in basic skills and Scratch programming—a visual programming language aimed at helping children think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively. Meanwhile, secondary school students and undergraduates focused on more advanced topics, such as web design and content creation, preparing them for future careers in the digital economy.
At the conclusion of the program, students had the opportunity to showcase their skills and creativity through six projects they developed during the bootcamp. One of the highlights was the presentation of a website built by the participants, demonstrating their practical knowledge and the skills they acquired over the two weeks. All students received certificates of participation for successfully completing the program.

Sir Pius Ufudo Foundation expressed its deep appreciation to its partners, volunteers, and the local community, whose unwavering support contributed to the success of the program. The Foundation remains committed to empowering youth by providing access to quality education and resources that foster personal and community development.
