Sacred Heart of Jesus,a symbol of love for humanity- Rev Fr Ikeagu

The priest in charge of Sacred Heart Parish,Odoakpu,Onitsha,Very Rev Fr Martin Ikeagu has urged Catholic faithful to continue to embrace the Sacred Heart of Jesus as their symbol of faith,love and solidarity in their lives.
Rev Fr Ikeagu spoke while delivering a homily on the feast of Sacred Heart of Jesus at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church,Odoakpu,Onitsha during the week.
According to Fr Ikeagu,when the faithful celebrates and venerates the Sacred the Sacred Heart of Jesus,it symbolises the love Jesus has for all.
He pointed out that it was a fulfilment of a request Jesus made to St Mary Margaret in 1617 where He said,”I will bless every symbol in which my image is exposed and honoured”.
He further said that anything about the image of Sacred Heart of Jesus is to reconnect oneself to Jesus Christ from where christians practice love and show it to people around then adding that with all these,”you are enthroning yourself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus”.
Fr Ikeagu therefore urged christians to open the doors to their hearts and welcome the Sacred Heart of Jesus inorder to witness transformations in their lives and families.
