The Anambra State Government has advised property owners along Amawbia-Agulu-Nanka-Ekwulobia-Uga Road to begin to relocate their property elsewhere to avoid being affected by the ongoing road dualization project in those routes by the state government.
In a press statement he signed, the Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu, said that the law demanded that property along federal highways must be set back by 47.5 meters from the centre of the road, noting that anything short of that amounted to a violation of the law and that such property would be regarded and treated as an illegal structure.
‘By this notice, the Government wishes to minimize avoidable losses on the part of those that could be affected,’ Nwosu stated in the press statement.
