The visiting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been honoured with a traditional title of Dike si mba (a vising warrior)by the traditional rulers council of Anambra State led by the President of the traditional rulers council of Anambra State,His Royal Majesty,Igwe Chidubem Iweka of Obosi.
The President in his speech celebrated the vibrant diversity of Anambra and the South East.
The President who was speaking at Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, during a state visit to Anambra state, emphasized that what he witnessed was a diversity and a vital catalyst for progress, as the gathering acknowledged the encouragement and unwavering support from friends of Anambra, who remain committed to fostering development in the region.
Acknowledging the leadership of Governor Soludo, President Tinubu asserted that his vision and direction are pivotal as Anambra strives to advance, recognizing the Governor’s grave commitment to bank consolidation and economic transformation, reiterating that the state is on the rise, adding that through unified efforts, his administration aim to fast-track critical initiatives, from ecological investments to vital infrastructure projects like the gas pipeline and road improvements leading to Abuja from Anambra and expressed eagerness to rectify the rail master plan to secure a comprehensive transportation strategy for the state.
He expressed resolve to uphold brotherhood and collaboration among the diverse groups within Anambra, calling for united efforts to harness the rich cultural backgrounds of its citizens for the greater good of Nigeria, saying that as Anambra embarks on this journey of progress, he expressed the commitment to work harmoniously together reechoing that it is only through unity that true development can be achieved.
In a speech, Governor Soludo said that Anambra State proudly stands as the home of progressives in Nigeria, with a strong emphasis on strategic project selection that aligns with the state’s vision for sustainable development.
Reflecting on the last presidential visit in 2012, Governor Soludo expressed gratitude for renewed federal attention on Anambra, framing it as a pivotal moment in their agenda for growth, highlighting his ambitious plans rooted in the Anambra Development Transformation Strategy (ADTS), which aims to lay the foundation for a brighter future with strict deadlines.
In their separate remarks, Elder Statesman, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, President, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria South East, Lady Ada Chukwudozie, Sir. Emeka Offor, welcomed the president and prayed God to give him wisdom and courage to face and address the pluralism of the country.
The event was well attended by all Governors of the South East, Governors from Borno, Ogun, Delta States among others.
