Sir Paul Chukwuma, the Young Progressives Party (YPP) gubernatorial candidate for the 2025 Anambra elections, has been celebrated for his exemplary character, disciplined lifestyle, and unwavering commitment to family values as he and his wife, Lady Ify Chukwuma, mark their 20th wedding anniversary.
In a touching tribute released by his media aide, Mr. Ebuka Onyekwelu, the couple was described as a shining example of what marital commitment and authentic leadership should look like in today’s society.
“Happy 20th wedding anniversary to Sir Paul Chukwuma, Esq.,” Onyekwelu wrote. “Having known Sir Paul and Lady Ify personally, I have witnessed the intentionality with which they live their lives. Their relationship is a beacon to young couples and those planning to marry, demonstrating that family is the bedrock of a healthy society.”
He highlighted the couple’s modesty and low-profile lifestyle, noting that despite Sir Paul’s public stature, they have chosen to live quietly and meaningfully—focused on service, not spectacle.
“Sir Paul and Lady Ify are the kind of people who give others a sense of dignity,” the message continued. “They welcome visitors of all ages and backgrounds with genuine warmth, and their home is a space of hospitality, discipline, and values.”
One particularly striking detail, Onyekwelu noted, is that all of the couple’s children—raised in Western environments—are fluent in Igbo, a feat he described as “a cultural triumph and testament to intentional parenting.”
Now aged 47, Sir Paul married at 27 and has spent the past two decades building a stable, nurturing home life alongside his professional and political journey.
“Behind every public achievement is a private victory,” Onyekwelu said. “I celebrate the grace, wisdom, and blessings this couple represents. May their home continue to inspire families and leaders alike.”
