The leadership of Nigeria Federation of Catholic Students (NFCS), Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapter, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, led by Mr. Alexander Ogbolu, has acknowledged potential First Class students in their midst, as a way of encouraging hard work among members.
The recognition of the pacesetters, comprising 100 Level, 200 Level, 300 Level and 400 Level students, which took place in the parish was tagged ‘Award of Excellence.’ Certificates were presented to the nine honorees from different faculties and departments within the university, based on their Second Semester GPA,
In an interview with the Trinitas Newspaper. Onitsha, one of the awardees, APEH, Anne Ochanya, 200 Level Student of the Department of Economics, with a GPA of 5.00, disclosed that she has been that successful by being a triangular student.
Ms. Apeh who told Trinitas that she picked interest in calculations early in life and that she was self-motivated. She encouraged students to plan very well, work hard and avoid unnecessary distractions, so that they may graduate with flying colours.
Other recipients include: Agu Faith, Economics, GPA: 4.80; Odega James John, Mechanical Engineering, GPA, 4.79; Okwori Andrew Enenche, Agriculture, GPA, 4.71; Jah Seleh Danjuma, Veterinary Medicine, GPA, 4.64; Ndu Chibuike Geoffery, Biology Education, GPA, 4.50; Daniel Faith, Nursing Science, GPA, 4.51; Joseph Ishiaku Zawah, Veterinary Medicine, GPA, 4.90; and Umeh Patricia Ngozi, Biology Education, GPA, 4.55.
