The Parish Priest of St Mary’s Catholic Church Samaru Zaria, Rev Fr. Augustine Isek has assured the faithful of God’s agenda for them, no matter the distractions. Giving this assurance on Saturday, 14th December 2024, during the End of the Year Retreat in the parish, the priest explained that some of the challenges confronting people are only pathways to the purpose of God in their lives.
The clergyman clarified why some people get stuck in some areas of their lives, explaining that the grace of God is released when one is active in God-ordained destiny for them.
“Life may not be rosy for you.” Fr. Isek acknowledged. “But the Lord has a purpose for you and your life. Sometimes, the difficulties that come to you are part of the process to achieve the purpose. There are times when God forbids you from being in the palace but to be in the manger, because there is a destination for you to go to. There is a purpose for you no matter what you are going through.”
“There are times when what you want for yourself is different from what God wants for you. One of the signs that you may be on the wrong path is that nothing will work for you there. Every destiny is customized by its own grace. When the grace is not available where you are, nothing will work because God is redirecting your steps. The wise thing is to follow His direction. He will never mislead you”
