By Olivia ObijiakuMembers of Catholic Postgraduate Students, (FCPS) Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish Ahmadu Bello University Zaria have been tasked to approach God with the right disposition of the heart.
The Associate Parish Priest of St Mary’s Parish Samaru Zaria, Rev Fr Michael Garaje gave this task on Friday, 19th April, 2024, when he anchored the Eucharist Adoration at the just concluded FCPS Week.Citing the case of the paralytic whose friends beat all protocols to bring before Jesus, priest disclosed that Christ is interested in the disposition of their hearts.“God is interested in the disposition of your hearts.” The priest oriented.
Let your heart be connected to Jesus. Do not look at me. Do not expect miracles from me. Jesus is the only one who satisfies your needs. I am here to channel you to Jesus. If you are looking at me, you will be disappointed. Switch off from every other thing and focus on Jesus. He is the center of attraction.
Focus your attention on Christ here in the Blessed Sacrament of the altar. If your heart is not connected to Jesus you will be wallowing in difficulties.”“Divine visitation is different from human visitation. Some people visit you and bring you down. Christ visits you and lifts you up. Only God knows what you need. Speak to Him.
When the Holy Trinity visits you, there is liberation from captivity. I see Christ elevating somebody here. What you need in life is divine encounter. This evening was divinely arranged for you.”Fr Garaje told them that God wants sacrifices of their time, energy and resources. He also prayed and laid hands on every participant, assuring them of divine visitation.
