The Chancellor of Onitsha Archdiocese, Very Rev. Fr. Prudentius Aroh, has commended the Onitsha Regional Laity Council, led by their president, Comrade Ben Chikezie (Uzuakpundu), for their commitment to advancing the council’s mission. The chancellor made the commendation during a courtesy visit by the council to his office.
Fr. Aroh expressed delight over the visit, noting it was the first time the council had visited his office, and described it as a positive development. He pledged to work with the council, assuring them of his continued support and prayers. The chancellor also charged them to lead people to encounter God personally, rather than just being nominal Christians or Catholics.
Similarly, the Episcopal Vicar for Onitsha Region, Very Rev. Fr. Victor Mbanisi, hosted the council on a courtesy visit and eulogized them for their dedication to duty. He encouraged them not to relent in their evangelization efforts.

The Executive Chairman of Onitsha South LGA, Hon. Emeka Orji also received the council and pledged to partner with them in propagating the gospel to the grassroots.
The Regional President, Comrade Ben Chikezie, expressed gratitude to the chancellor, the Episcopal Vicar, and the Local Government Chairman for their warm reception, support, and willingness to collaborate with the council. He explained that the courtesy visit was a form of evangelization that communicates Christ.
