One of the last rites of passage,the month mind,was on Tuesday held for the late Monsignor Marius Obiagwu at his hometown,Alor in Idemili South local government area of Anambra State.
Priests,members of the religious and the lay faithful gathered at the St Mary’s Catholic Church Alor where a solemn Mass was celebrated for continued peace repose of his soul.
Chancellor of the Archdiocese Rev Fr Prudentius Aroh led Onitsha Archdiocesan priests,members of the religious and lay faithful who adorned various colourful attires including chieftaincy wears.
The atmosphere was charged with cultural dances and songs reserved for mourning of the dead.
A solemn Mass was celebrated which Monsignor Theophilus Odukwe was the chief celebrant while Rev Fr Charles Anene delivered a homily.
It would be recalled that late Rev msgr Marius Emeka Obiagwu died at the age of 71.
His remains were buried by Archbishop Valerian Okeke at the Archdiocesan cemetery on Tuesday,5th August,2025.
