The Archbishop of Onitsha, His Grace Most Rev. Valerian Okeke, on Sunday, March 23rd 2025, urged Christians to embark on a journey of continuous purification and renewal. This, he emphasized, is essential to maintain the sanctity of their bodies, which serve as temples of the Holy Spirit.
Archbishop Okeke delivered this message while giving a homily during the dedication of Holy Family Parish in Akuzor Nkpor. He reminded the congregation that every Christian is a temple of the Holy Spirit, where the divine presence dwells.
The prelate emphasized that this realization should inspire Christians to strive for spiritual purity and renewal. He encouraged them to reflect on their lives, acknowledging areas that require improvement and seeking forgiveness for past transgressions.
By embracing ongoing purification and renewal, Archbishop Okeke assured the faithful that they would become beacons of hope and instruments of God’s divine plan. He urged them to remain committed to their spiritual growth, cultivating a deeper relationship with God and living according to His will.
The archbishop’s message served as a poignant reminder of the importance of spiritual purification and renewal in the lives of Christians. As the faithful continue on their journey, they are encouraged to seek guidance from spiritual leaders and to support one another in their pursuit of holiness.
