Catholic Women under the umbrella of CWO,Christ the King Ward,GRA,Onitsha under the leadership of Lady Stella Azubike Okafor,have filed out the sum of N90,000 (Ninety thousand Naira)to pay the school fees of an indigent student,master Chibuike Madubuko an SS1 student of Rock Foundation Schools GRA,Onitsha.
Master Madubuko lost his father and was incapable of continuing his education with his mates as his mother could not meet up.
According to Lady Stella Azubike Okafor,the women were fulfilling their pledge when they visited the school during the Mothering Sunday celebrations.
Lady Stella said they were touched by the condition of the boy such that his future and education was threatened and may not be able to join his mates to continue his education.
She called on other well meaning Nigerians to look out for such people and assist them in the spirit of love and charity.
During their visit to the school,the women donated food items and provisions for welfare of the teachers and students.
Among the officials who took part in the visit are,
the President Lady Stella Azubike Okafor,lady Vero Osanakpo,Mrs Calista Eze and Mrs Ebele Enoli.
Others are,Mrs Rose Chikwe,Lady Nonyem Osanakpo,Mrs Euphemia Odo,Mrs Joy Monte and Mrs Florence Ede.
