On June 30th, Bishop Paulinus Ezeokafor of the Awka Diocese marked the 40th anniversary of his ordination into the priesthood. Reflecting on this milestone, Bishop Ezeokafor expressed his deep gratitude to God for the gift of the Catholic Priesthood, acknowledging that he has become who he is today by God’s grace.
Bishop Ezeokafor also extended his thanks to everyone who has been a channel of God’s grace to him throughout the years. The bishop celebrated a Mass of thanksgiving at All Saints Parish in Awgbu, the place where he began his priestly ministry. He conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to the parishioners of Old All Saints Parish for their warm presence during the celebration.
This Mass of thanksgiving serves as a prelude to the main celebration, which is scheduled for November 16, 2024. Bishop Ezeokafor concluded his message with a loving note, saying, “My love is with you all in Christ Jesus!”
