The Anglican Bishop of Zaria Most Rev Ishaya Baba has rained praises on the outgoing leaders of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Sabon Gari Branch, Kaduna State led by Rev Prof ES Akuso for beyond expectations even as he reminded members of their responsibility in the area as children of God. The bishop made this commendation as the speaker at the Grand Finale of 2024 CAN Universal Week of Prayer and Fasting which took place at Chapel of Redemption, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria on Sunday, 14th January 2024.
He said, “I want to commend the CAN leadership. My joy is that he did not disappoint in my covenant with him on leadership. May God continue to give CAN such kind of leadership in Zaria. The church in Zaria should not have leader that is interested in making money, if you want to make money go to somewhere else not in the Church. May God give us your kind of leadership again and again. Jesus Christ has already come. He has labored; and He has died He has resurrected and He has ascended into heaven. But He is coming to come back again. As children of God, God has put us here in Zaria to prepare the way for His second coming. Let no one deceive you that Jesus is not coming back. It will not be long. By the signs that we are seeing, by the things we are experiencing in our world today, we know that Jesus is coming back. And it will not be long the trumpet of the Lord shall sound.”
Bishop Baba thanked God for the association praying that He continues the good work He has been in their midst.
