Still in the spirit of the celebration of the Fathers Sunday, some representatives of the members of Awka Diocesan Catholic Men’s Organization, CMO on 14th May, 2024, visited the priests residing in the Priests’ Welfare Home, Awka.
Speaking during the visit, the President of the Association, Mr. Joseph Onuegbu, before handing over their gifts to the priests, said they came to celebrate the priests’ commitment and contributions to the Church and society and to assure them that their services to God’s people had not been forgotten.
For their part, the visibly grateful priests thanked and prayed for the members who visited them, even as they wished them well in their apostolate as fathers and heads of their individual families.
Also the CMO visited the Chief Shepherd of the Diocese, Bishop Paulinus Ezeokafor, the Catholic Bishop of Awka, in order to celebrate Fathers’ Day with him. This took place at the Bishop’s office at the Awka Diocesan Secretariat.
