Members of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Anambra Chapter on Saturday stated their readiness to participate in the local government elections the state is about to conduct.
The state care taker committee chairman of the party, Engr Chigozie Igwe while addressing party faithful during their mini rally at Awka described the proposed election as a good development, urging members to remain focused, committed and support every PDP candidate so that the party will produce many LGA chairmen in the state.
He expressed confidence that with the level of commitment Anambra PDP faithful are demonstrating of recent, the party will produce the next governor of the state in the next year election, adding that the party will embark on fresh party registration and mobilization for both old and new members in preparation for 2025 election.









According to Igwe, the primary goal of our great party, PDP is to win future elections upon which we can implement our manifesto for the betterment of our people.
That is the new spirit that we have imbibed in this remodeled Anambra PDP.
He also disclosed that the party will embark on local government tour in order to build a more formidable party capable of winning political positions in the state with ease.
The National Chairman of PDP, Amb. Umar Damagun in his speech assured that PDP was fully prepared to unseat Prof. Charles Soludo in 2025 as Governor of Anambra State.
According to Damagun who was represented by the National Auditor, Chief Obi Okechukwu, the party has put all electoral measures in place to win the election.
“With what I have observed in this rally today in Anambra State, I can assure you all that the bone shall rise again, and we will take over what belongs to us, come 2025, the National Chairman assured.
The party stakeholders including Dr Harry Ohanezi , Chief IK Obiekezie, Chief Kenneth Ezeoke, Chief Celestine Tagbo , Hon Sir Ben Nwosu and Chief Ndubisi Nwobu in their separate remarks, expressed happiness that Anambra PDP has come alive again, and now waxing stronger, describing the development as a sign of victory for the PDP candidates in the coming elections.
Also, a party stalwart Chief Mrs Josephine Anini and PDP woman leader Patricia Uju Onyia in their similar contributions praised the efforts of the new PDP leaders in Anambra for reviving the party, urging members to give them maximum support that will translate Into litany of victories for PDP candidates contesting for positions in national, state and local government elections.
