The Acting Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Professor Carol Arinze-Umobi, has advised graduating students of UNIZIK High School to look beyond academic certificates as the sole foundation for their future.
Speaking through the Head of the Department of Educational Management and Policy, Professor Patience Egboka, during the school’s 2025 graduation ceremony, Prof. Arinze-Umobi encouraged the students to develop practical skills and uphold strong moral values.
“Be morally upright, resilient, and proactive. Acquire a skill, take care of your health, and build a personal relationship with God. Don’t let life’s challenges break your spirit,” she advised.
She praised the school’s management and teaching staff for their dedication in shaping the students both intellectually and ethically.
Earlier in her remarks, the school’s Principal, Mrs. Israel Atinuke, described the graduation as a celebration of hard work, perseverance, and growth. She urged the students to embrace the real-world challenges ahead with confidence.
“You’re stepping into a world that will test your limits but you are ready,” she stated.
Also addressing the audience, the Chairman of the Parents-Teachers Council, Mr. Ugochukwu Okonkwo, congratulated the graduating class and thanked parents and teachers for their support. He emphasized that hard work remains the hallmark of UNIZIK High School.
The event, which drew parents, teachers, and well-wishers, featured awards for outstanding students and the cutting of a graduation cake.
