The Igbo Gadi Nma sociopolitical group has expressed confidence that Sir Victor Umeh will be the voice of Ndigbo in the 10th National Assembly.
Umeh defeated the incumbent, Uche Ekwunife of the Peoples Democratic Party, to emerge the winner of the Anambra Central senatorial district election.
The group in a congratulatory message signed by Mazi Ugwoke Emmanuel, their national secretary, described Umeh as “an eloquent and fearless Igbo leader”.
The statement reads:
The leadership of Igbo Gadi Nma; an Igbo socio political group has congratulated Chief Victor Umeh, an eloquent and fearless Igbo leader as the newly elected senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria representing the people of Anambra central senatorial district.
With someone like Victor Umeh (Ohamdaike Ndigbo) in red chamber, igbo voice will be heard and our own will not loss coming from his experience.
We trust Chief Victor Umeh because he will not be representing Anambra central alone but the entire igboland.
Igbo Ga-adi Nma observed that with his kind and other great men and women elected into the national assembly, Igbos won’t lose anything.
Igbo Gadi Nma advised Ndigbo to be watchful and observe keenly because Nigeria is currently standing on a time bomb. The political developments in Nigeria is given dangerous red signals.
