St Theresa’s parish Nnobi was turned into a beehive of activities last Sunday when the primary school owed by the parish celebrated 25 years of existence.
The historical event which witnessed graduation ceremony of the pupils attracted parents and other dignitaries that graced the occasion.
Speaking to the press, the school headmistress Perpetual Chisom Ejike expressed great joy over anniversary.
Her words: ” Today, we thank God for keeping us alive in the land of the living at least to witness today’s 25 years of anniversary of our primary school. It is not easy. Many of us started our academic pursuit from this school ,few are dead, but we thank God for keeping us alive to witness the epoch making event. In the past there was no good structure here , but today the school has a very fine structure. It has a good learning environment, good library and conducive for learning, courtesy of our philanthropic Mr Obinna Ufudo.
I thank the parents who are trying their best to make sure that their kids are here, because some of them who are meant to be here are not, because of the current economic hardship rocking the masses. I thank God for those that are here, it is not easy. I pray God to continue to be with them all, provide for them, and guide them. Today, I am very happy that we are alive to witness today and this is my eighth year here as a Staff and I thank God I am still here, and am happy that it is in my time that the school is celebrating her silver jubilee.”
