The immediate past house member who represented Onitsha North and South federal constituency Rt. Hon. Lynda Ikpeazu on Tuesday donated hospital equipments that worth millions of naira to St Charles Borromew Specialist Hospital Onitsha.
While receiving the consignments, the Chief Executive Officer ( CEO) of the hospital Rev Fr. Dr. Izunna Okonkwo commended the erstwhile lawmaker for her magnanimity and generosity describing her as a good partner of the hospital.
He disclosed that couple of months back, Hon Lynda donated several categories of drugs to St Charles Borromeo Specialist Hospital. ” During that period, she promised to donate more items to the hospital and to the greater glory of God, we have received more medical items from her today. She brought a lot of things ranging from hospital beds, theatre beds, surgical equipment, wheel chairs, personal protective equipment etc. We are highly delighted to have received all this items from the distinguished legislator”, he disclosed.
He stated that from all indication, Hon. Lynda was impressed by the quality services the hospital is rendering and as such prompted her to support good works of the hospital. Fr. Okonkwo further called on politicians on the various levels of governance to see the need to do the needful when they receive any allocation for their constituency. He described St Charles Borromeo as the biggest hospital in West Africa sub-region under the proprietorship of his Grace Most Rev Valerian M. Okeke.
