Queen of the Rosary College (QRC) in Onitsha celebrated its 80th anniversary on a joyful day, October 7, 2023. The meteorological event was filled with great jubilation, highlighting the presence of the Chief Shepherd of the Archdiocese, His Grace Most Rev. Valerian Okeke, who presided over the celebration and shared words of encouragement with the children during Mass.
In his homily, Archbishop Okeke expressed gratitude to God for this esteemed institution, also marking its 80 years of existence. He emphasized that QRC is a significant center for learning, formation, and training, enabling students to realize their full potential. He mentioned that a good QRC student is a role model, and being a good QRC student involves being virtuous. He offered prayers that, as they celebrated their feast that day, the institution would continue to excel and achieve greatness.
The Chaplain of QRC, Fr. Charles Orakwe, also extended gratitude to Archbishop His Grace Most Rev. Valerian Okeke for taking time out of his busy schedule to celebrate with them. He conveyed the students’ well wishes and prayers, along with birthday wishes for the Archbishop.
