Professor Kate Azuka Omenugha has been officially confirmed as the substantive Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) by the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR. This confirmation comes after a period of remarkable leadership in her capacity as Acting Vice Chancellor, during which she steered the institution through significant transformation and growth.
The confirmation letter was formally presented to Professor Omenugha by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, at the Light House in Awka. Her elevation to the position followed a successful interview process, which further affirmed her capacity, vision, and deep commitment to academic excellence and institutional development.
Professor Omenugha’s tenure as Acting Vice Chancellor was widely lauded for its innovation, administrative discipline, and focus on repositioning COOU as a leading citadel of learning.
