Deputy Gov Ibezim, Speaker Rt Hon Udeze, Prof Chukwulobelu , Hon Okonkwo, others grace the occasion

Joy filled the air last Sunday, July 13, as government functionaries, community members, friends, and relatives gathered to receive two newly ordained indigenous priests of St Paul’s Catholic community Nnobi Rev. Fr. Damian Omenugha and Rev. Fr. Rufus Ezechukwu. The spectacular event attracted the presence of Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Gilbert Onyekachukwu Ibezim; Speaker, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze; State Secretary General, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu; traditional rulers; and others who came to rejoice with the Omenugha family.
During their first Mass, Monsignor Theo Odukwe reminded the new priests that they are another Christ, urging them to live a life of prayer and remain dedicated to their primary assignment as priests. At the reception, Deputy Governor Ibezim congratulated the Omenugha family for producing a priest, describing Fr. Damian as a special gift to the church.
Hon. Uche Harris Okonkwo, Member of the Federal House representing Idemili North and South federal constituency, also congratulated Fr. Omenugha on his ordination, praying that God would endow him with special grace and strength to work tirelessly in God’s vineyard.










Hon. Ebuka Igwe, Member of the Anambra State House of Assembly representing Idemili South constituency, extolled the Omenugha family for giving out their son to serve in God’s vineyard, describing them as a family of faith.
The Special Adviser to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on Youth, Hon. Dr. Nelson Omenugha, who is Fr. Damian’s elder brother, appreciated God for calling his brother to the Holy Priesthood, describing the ordination as a blessing to their family, society, and the mother church.
The parents of Fr. Damian Omenugha, Lord Dr. Mike and Prof. Kate Omenugha, expressed gratitude to God for choosing their son as His priest, describing it as a rare privilege to the family. They thanked friends and relatives who turned out in large numbers to rejoice with them.
