The Insecurity, hardship and other social vices rampaging the Nigeria as a Nation can only be overcome through prayer. This was revealed by a guest speaker at one day prayer submit organized by Ameka Catholic Community Onitsha branch.
The event which attracted multitudes of Catholic faithful from Ebonyi state living in Anambra state witnessed prayer, teachings, deliverance, questions and answers from the participants.
In his lecture, the guest speaker Bro. Ezekiel Alegu said the quest of our youths to make money is becoming a worrisome, asserting that kidnapping, killings by unknown gunmen, and all other criminalities can only be overcome with prayers.
According to him, when a Nation faces such challenges, the only option would be to beckon God as only him through his only Son Jesus Christ could salvage such challenges. He urged Christians all over the country to pray to God to save our dear country mostly as we prepare to transit to a new government.
He further charged parents to give their children proper home training mostly teaching them the way of the Lord and also monitor the kind of friends they keep as according to him would go a long way in reducing the evils our youth are indulging in.
In his own speech, the Chairman of Ameka Catholic Community Onitsha branch, Hon Emmanuel Nweke who could not hide his joy over the huge turnout of the members participated in this year’s prayer submit, thanked the organizers and urged the participants to make use of what they leant from the prayer submit.
In his vote of thanks, the former Chairman of the organization Bro John Obaji thanked the guest speaker whom he said God has used in lefting the community high and prayed to God to give him more wisdom, good health and longer life.
