The leadership of the Onitsha Archdiocesan Catholic Charismatics Renewal has declared the year 2023 as a year to galvanise for total evangelisation of rural communities as soon as its 2023 recollection exercise at the CCRN Victory Land is over.
That was part of the initiative reached at the recollection in order to permeate the rural populace and bring them to Christ.
Earlier in his keynote address, the former chairman of the CCRN of the Nnewi Diocese, Bro. Lotanna Ezukwo, warned the faithful to beware of a utopian aspect of a cashless policy guided by a single currency that would put the entire world in bondage, which was predicted by a renowned seer, Nostradamus, in the book “The Man Who Saw Tomorrow”.
Ezukwo warned that as the antichrist era is closing in on the world, the faithful must remain steadfast in trusting God in all they do and say.
According to him,“We must bear in mind that the two major business[es] of Christ in the world are to reconcile us with the Father by perfecting whatever we are doing and also to let God’s kingdom thrive on Earth.”
The basic truth about leadership, said Ezukwo, is that God uses man to actualise his programme on Earth.
“Our baptism as Catholics prepared us as priests, kings and prophets with a vision for the world to follow; therefore, we must see our leadership positions as God’s plans and accept them as our sincere service to the glory of God.”
Earlier in his homily, the Onitsha archdiocesan chaplain of the CCRN, the Very Rev. George Nzemuoba (represented), urged the congregation to continue to fan the flame of grace and love so that God will install the much-needed good leadership in Nigeria.
In an interactive session, the Onitsha archdiocesan chairman of the CCRN, Bro. Peter Nnalue, highlighted some of the resolutions of the convention, which include organising a three-day holiness convention in all parishes, reviewing programme contents and reorganising formation classes in all parishes for more formidable output with emphasis on children’s ministry as well as for effective actualisation of the proposed rural evangelism.
