The Chairman Transition Committee of Ogbaru Local Government Council, Hon. Paschal Aniegbuna, joins Igwe Azuka Augustine Ngoddy, Eze Ogwuike of Atani Kingdom and the good people of Atani to celebrate their annual Okpotu to marks the New Yam festival.
Speaking at the occasion, the Chairman expressed his joy to Igwe Ngoddy and the good people of Atani, for the delightful Okpotu celebration.
Hon. Aniegbuna said that Culture remains a bond that unifies the people and commended the people of Atani for using their traditions to express their Unity and Love to one another.
The Ogbaru Boss equally commended the Sons and Daughters of Atani, who traveled from far and near to join in the Celebration.
He expressed his undiluted love for Atani, stating that his humble abode is in the Community, as the love showed to him and the family, by the good people of Atani, remains enormous
“Our culture and traditions are the foundations of our identity, and we must safeguard them for future generations. Igwe Ngoddy has always been at the forefront of this, and I am here to celebrate him.
“Your Highness, as you mark this important cultural event in celebration of our Ogbaru heritage, it is my fervent prayer that the Almighty, will continue to be with you, guide you, and endow you with more wisdom, good health and long life as you pilot the affairs of our dear Community, Atani. Long live Your Royal Stool.”
Igwe Ngoddy, who extolled the Council Chairman as a light that will keep shining in Ogbaru, going by his numerical development cut across the entire Local Government Area.
The Monarch also commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the peace and security his administration has brought to the State since he assumed office, which has resulted to the various cultural and social activities going on daily in the State, which could have been impossible prior to his assumption of office.
Highlights from the Occasion include the paying of homage to the Igwe by the different Age Grades in the kingdom.
The Occasion was graced by Captains of Industry, Professional from different fields, Business Men and Women from different Places.
Among the Chairman’s entourage were Hon. Henry Odobo, Hon. Sir. F. O. Afubero Esq and Hon. Dr. Nwachukwu Nwosu.
